May 15, 2008 - 7pm Business/Election Meeting This isn't your average sorority meeting - this is the ladies of NOVA getting together to catch up on the events in each others' lives, and plan for our future as a sorority. In true NOVA fashion, we will eat, drink, and be merry as we look back on the past year and elect new members for the coming year. If you want to be nominated for a position next year, please email Scarlett. The meeting details (including time and location) will go out via evite. June 7, 2008 - Susan G. Komen 5k in DC. The sisers are getting together to walk for a great cause. Join us at Race for the Cure
in Washington DC for a morning of sisterhood. The Susan G. Komen foundation was started by Komen's sister, to help make strides towards breast cancer research. The Northern Virginia Panhelennic Association has set up a team - The Greek Goddesses - for all NVAPA members to join. If you decide to participate in the race, please join the Greek Goddess team and send an email to email Nita, who is coordinating ASA's participation. Not a runner/walker? No Problem! You can "Sleep in for the cure" also. Just register on the Race for the Cure website to "Sleep in for the Cure" and your donation will still go to the Komen foundation. In return, you get a sleep shirt, a race day bib (in case you change your mind), and you get to sleep in and still make a difference!
